The Uncorked Texan & Friends: Aubrey Cook from ReVibed Homes

Happy Friday! Today I’m so excited to feature my girl Aubrey Cook! Aubrey and I met through our kids at preschool a few years ago, and then I was lucky enough to have her move down the street from me. Those neighbors who walk down the sidewalk with a box of wine to each other’s house? Yes, that’s us! She’s the most gorgeous soul inside and out, and fun is never too far behind!

If you’re new around here, you might not know this, but this past Holiday season Aubrey and I joined forces, and called ourselves the #TwoTipsyElves to decorate houses for Christmas. We used our client’s decorations, brought in a few curated pieces, and transformed their spaces for the holidays. We had the best time, with the most amazing families, and hopefully we’ll be doing this again soon!

1. What is one item you believe every space needs?

Lighting. No matter how big or small your room is, filling a room with elegant lighting instantly makes a space complete. It’s often what takes me the most time to select in a project!

2. Who / What is your favorite source of inspiration?

Addison’s Wonderland {Brittany Hayes}. I’ve followed her for years! As a fellow rehabber, and lover of interior design, she can make any home / space stunning. Her use of colors and pattern mixing are some of the best I’ve seen!

3. What is your proudest design moment?

In the 10 years we’ve rehabbed homes, there are so many moments when visions and sketches actually materialize into beautiful interiors. Our most recent home was purchased by a professional soccer player here in Kansas City! We felt honored they loved our remodel!
